Anderson Lake birding

  • Anderson Lake State Park (map)

Please meet at the very first parking area directly after turning off Anderson Lake Road before the white gate. Maximum group size is 5. Bring your water, snack, binoculars and good footwear and be willing to walk about 1.5 miles around the lake, including a little uphill. This outing can take from 2 to 4 hours, depending on what we see and how much activity there is…the birds don’t receive our notices about birdwalks so they are unpredictable. We do not come in contact with the lake water and the known toxic algae in the lake is not any type of risk or concern when birding at Anderson Lake. We hike on Trail B. To reserve the last spot available, contact Trip Leader Beverly McNeil at blmcneil59@gmail.com or leave a message at 360-301-4745.
